Enjoy Door County Beaches
Nicolet Beach is a popular destination for families wanting to dip their toes in water. It offers paddleboard rentals, bike and boat rentals, a concession stand, beach volleyball courts, and a children’s playground.
Egg Harbor Beach is a perfect place to go for the whole Door County beach experience. With over 500 feet of carefully cultivated beachfront perfect for creating sandcastles or lying out for a tan, the beach also has a launch area for kayaks, canoes, or small boats. There are changing rooms, a playground, and easy parking as well as access to the hiking paths for those that want to get their sweat on before or after taking a refreshing dip in the water.
Bringing your furry friend along on the trip? Frank Murphy Park is a low-key beach that offers a boat launch, a dock, a playground, a volleyball court, and a picnic area. If your dog is on a leash, bring them along as well!
Quieter Spots on the Water
Are you a birdwatcher? Bring your binoculars and head to Ridges Beach. Protected by the nonprofit Ridges Sanctuary, many birds and local flora and fauna call the area around the beach home, so you might be lucky enough to spot something interesting on your adventure! This beach is the perfect spot to catch the early morning sunrise, and there are parking lots, restrooms, and picnic tables.
Sand Bay Beach is a relatively low-traffic beach and perfect for a family getaway. Take a towel, a beach chair, and a good book and relax under the sun and shade or bring along some food to grill at the picnic areas. There is also a playground for little ones to run wild!
Of course, if you’re searching for a quiet, private, relaxing place to dip your toes, look no further than the Bay Shore Inn beach. We have kayaks and paddle boards available to use as well.
