Now that it’s (finally) 2021…have you been thinking that you and your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse or significant other could use some alone time? Sure, you spent 2020 quarantined together and got through socially distanced holiday celebrations together…but we’re talking about good, quality, relaxing alone time. Alone time that gets you out of wherever you’ve been quarantining and that’s more relaxing than the logistics of the 2020 holidays. And we’re also talking about alone time with an unbeatable view and cozy suites. You know where we’re going with this – book a Valentine’s Day escape to Bay Shore Inn…but *ahem* you don’t have to wait until Feb. 14 to enjoy the relaxing winter wonderland at Bay Shore.

Suite Life

Our Valentine’s Special runs from Feb. 5 through Feb. 20 and starts your visit off with complimentary chocolates and a bottle of wine or sparkling cider in your suite when you arrive. The two-night package also comes with a $40 gift certificate for a romantic dinner at Nightingale Supper Club or a cozy to-go dinner brought back to your suite from Nightingale’s curbside takeout. Our water view suites are perfect for relaxing and enjoy the beauty of Wisconsin’s winters while cozied up inside. With our in-room Jacuzzis and full kitchens…you might not want to leave your suite your entire stay at Bay Shore.

Outdoor Adventures

No matter how comfortable the suite or how beautiful the view from your room…we definitely suggest getting outside for a bit to explore the wintery Bay Shore Inn property and Sturgeon Bay. Our beautiful country grounds that take on a relaxing and quiet feel blanketed in sparkly snow are perfect for a mid-morning walk on a sunny day.

The shoreline views Sturgeon Bay is known for really – and literally – shine once the snow falls. The parks become white crystalized beauties to behold and explore. Peninsula State Park, just a 30 min drive from Bay Shore, offers a sledding hill, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Cave Point County Park is even closer and features breathtaking views of lake ice formations. Sparkling snow makes our historic lighthouses light up in the winter sun! Visitors can go hiking or snowshoeing at Cana Island and The Ridges Sanctuary to see the lighthouse and historic sites up close and sparkling with snow.

Local Attractions

We’re lucky to be located in Sturgeon Bay, one of the most beautiful, welcoming and bustling communities in Door County. Sturgeon Bay officials and locals have been adapting to changes for almost a year now, but one thing that’s the same is their love for showcasing their city. Another thing that hasn’t changed this year is the upcoming Fire & Ice Weekend. Visitors will get to watch snow and ice sculptors create beautiful works of art throughout Sturgeon Bay. Cash prices are on the line, as well as bragging rights for the People’s Choice Award winner.
